Supporting Our Volunteer Fire & Rescue Teams

Our Legislature this year dramatically increased our grant support for our Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Sqauds. $25 million for fire departments, $5 million for rescue squads, and an additional $1 million for supplementing fire engine purchase grants. Today I joined in presenting checks totaling $1.16 million to LAWRENCE and WAYNE COUNTY Fire and rescue sqauds. Our other counties will receive similar grants in the coming weeks. Thanks to all our Fire and Resuce teams!!
