Heroes on the Ground: McNairy and Hardin Counties Rising After the Storm

I toured McNairy and Hardin Counties today to visit with our folks at the warming center shelters and those out cutting back the fallen trees and restoring utilities. Here two heroes-Lynn Baker and Hardin County Commissioner Roger Jenkins. Roger has worked around the clock since the storm hit rescuing residents and directing recovery efforts in Pickwick/Counce. Lynn and his crew volunteered to cut back trees from devastated areas to give utility and EMS workers access to our citizens. Stories of selfless service are all around us as we recover. I thank these and all those who continue to answer the prayers of our people.
